Wax Seals on Art of Manliness

I'll say this about the site, I absolutely refuse to shop at places that block me from right clicking, especially with an obnoxious pop-up each time. Good looking prices, but I would wait until I saw some positive reviews here.

Excuse my ignorance, but I don't understand the right click comment. The website reacts, to me, the same way as any other website I visit. Navigating is no problem for me. The only time I would use the right click is to copy and paste an image. The pop up I receive, when doing that, says that their images are copyrighted. I don't have a problem with them keeping their images for themselves and certainly wouldn't decide not to do business with them because of it. Maybe you're talking about something else?

I agree about doing our due diligence before buying. I have no affiliation with the site, I have never bought anything form them so I can't comment on quality or price. I was just offering a site that may be able to help us with a group buy, or members who wish to get something outside of that group buy. ( if it happens at all )

I right click to open links in new tabs. I don't copy and paste images, I would save to the desktop .. possibly copy the url for the link I guess. Having something pop-up everytime I try to open a link is a pain.

And no, I wasn't saying you had anything to do with it, lol. I understand about the reason for the link, I just don't like the website. It doesn't take much for me to leave a site, and being told, "No, you cannot do this action because we are very afraid of someone stealing our handle images, when they could just screenshot/use html to get it, that we are going to add java to get in your way." My comment wasn't due diligence, I just refuse to go to places that have this sort of useless/fake security. Makes me suspicious that they might have stolen the images themselves and want to prevent us from finding the names out, or something.

No worries LOL, I wasn't taking it personally. I just don't get the pop ups trying to open links to a new tab, window or incognito window. The only pop up, I get, is trying to copy an image. Those images look professionally shot. I can understand copywriting them, to keep others from stealing the images.

But I agree, if I am frustrated with a particular website, I will shy away from visiting it. I just don't see it in this case, ( on my end ) and is the only reason I asked you about it.

I have this ring hat I purchased with a family history package about 5 years ago. It came with an actual wax impression of the seal and looked pretty good. It's a little beat up now, but what do you guys think?

A B&B Stamp would be awesome, I currently have two, one is an H from Goulet that James enabled me on, and another is a maple leaf. I wouldn't mind more though.

I use "faux" sealing wax (IOW, colored hot glue). Sometimes with stamp-pad ink applied to the seal before the impression. Less high-maintenance, lol. And easier to source. And available in glitter.

I believe my seal may have come from Nostalgic Impressions (this one: http://www.nostalgicimpressions.com/product_p/532h.htm ). I don't think "I ordered from them once and it was fine" is probably the endorsement you were looking for, though.

We had another regular customer who was a bit of a jokester, and one day, he signed his check as "Mickey Mouse." I didn't even bother to look at his signature nor check his ID since we knew him, but he brought the cancelled check in a few weeks to show us that it had passed our bank and passed his bank and nobody had said a thing about the bogus signature.

Yes, I read a story once about a woman who had a running bet with a friend that the banks don't pay attention to signatures. She owed the friend money anyway, so she wrote him a check and signed it "Emily Dickinson." It went through just fine.
