just as an aside.i was watching one of the vh 1 documentaries a few years ago. it noted that many of the metal singers had formal vocal or operatic training.

Wow Im glad someone said Maynard because he's one of my favorite vocalists among Rob Halford, Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius), Warrel Dane, and last but not least Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth.
