Much clearer. From the wording, can I assume the 1 1/2” deep refers to the internal depth, not external height?

Actually I tried to phrase it for better understanding thus:

"The outermost exterior dimensions are approximately 5" wide and 1 1/2" deep..."

So it is the external height that is 1 1/2". The bottom is about 1/4" thick if interested. I hope that helps.
