I remember my grandparents taking us to see this at a drive-in and I wouldn't have been that young. I thought it was hilarious, but it may not have held up well.Oh, God (1977) on Prime. We are not usually fans of 70s films, so I was surprised when my wife suggested it. We had seen it in a theater when it first came out, but she didn't remember it. It was entertaining for a bit, making fun of 70s clothes and cars, and we always enjoy seeing George Burns and Teri Garr. My wife fell asleep with half an hour to go, so I turned it off thinking we'd finish it the next night, but she said she'd seen enough. I agreed.
A classmate of mine at SDSU at the time told me it was banned in Utah.I remember my grandparents taking us to see this at a drive-in and I wouldn't have been that young. I thought it was hilarious, but it may not have held up well.
PET SEMATARY (1989). Finished rereading my old hardcover of the book, which SK swore he'd never release....until he gave it to his old publisher for tax benefits, proving the left is no different than the right when money is on the line. So after finishing the book, I recorded and rewatched the original 1989 film. When I first saw the film when it came out, I remember thinking Fred Gwynne (Herman Munster) was the main casting problem, but after rewatching I think he was the best of the cast. Like most films of SK books, it was pretty bad.
