I'm REALLY excited about this! Already thinking about what I could say! Will be writing one entry and passing? Or a week's worth, or what? Are we gonna try to time it so it can be auctioned off in October?

My initial thought is that a member will get a certain amount of time and page/ pages to do as they see fit. If they want to make it a daily journal, talk about something completely random, draw a picture etc. You're welcome to do anything you want within the rules of B&B.

As of this post, there are 15 people who have signed up. once we get a final total, we can figure out how many pages and how much time each member will get. I think I'm going to try and send the journal to members in a region, to save time in transit. Meaning, if there are 5 people on the east coast, they would get it before it goes to the west coast. We would have to work out when someone would go on vacation, and just skip them and come back to them at a later date. I don't think it will be a big deal, but I would like to keep it moving for time sake.

It's definitely my goal to enter this into the auction, along with anything members wish to donate with it, or in a separate lot.

just saw the pics you posted. I think it would be really neat to let children write something.

For the record , I draw and write just like the little guy, with my tongue out. I actually got laughed at by my 6th grade English teacher while up at the chalk board once. LOL

That's why I added those pics. That's how I look when I concentrate on ANYTHING!

This is a great idea, thank you for taking point Chris, and Shane, thanks for supplying the journal. It is a great idea to auction it off, that gives us about 7 1/2 months and a lot of math to figure out cut off times and how long everyone has with it.

THere's a few people who haven't joined that need to (Strop, Brian, Doug, Beginish, to name a few).

7 1/2 months....roughly 28 weeks. if you stop it now that gives each member 1.7 weeks with the journal. figure 3 days shipping time from one member to another and that's 6 weeks in transit between all 16 members. so stopping the list now and giving each member 1 week with it would give plenty of time for shipping and preparing for the auction. could maybe even add a few more to the list.

*** i did this math quickly so feel free to correct me. in fact someone else should do the math too****

Pessimism at work, perhaps, or just too busy for it. I have to admit that I'm really skeptical about stuff like this working out, but that list is full of Nib regulars. Here's hoping.
