I'm thinking this one had me hooked. I might be in for one in Shavemac D01 2-band, too, in addition to the one I already ordered earlier today.

My order is in…D01 2-band fan. Like all of you, I do not need another brush. But, I really have had my eye out for this particular ivory resin. And I only have one D01 2-band brush, also by Rudy, so it will be nice to have a backup. This is how I rationalize this. But at the end of the day, I will be getting an expertly crafted tool made in a limited quantity by a master brush maker. His work is top-tier. Much appreciation goes out to all who made this happen!

I love this resin as well. Rudy is making me a large D01 3-Band Polo out of it.

Love the Faux Ivory look, Rudy did nice job.
Can someone smarter than me explain the difference between the two-band and the D01 two band?
Never used a Shavemac knot, but I do know the D01 means the knot is packed extra densely
The D01 has stronger backbone for sure. I have many Shavemac 2-band silvertips and 1 D01 - 2 band and to me the difference is very evident, in a good way to me. Don’t get me wrong, the regular 2 band silvertip is great, but the D01 offers something different.
D01 has a thicker stemmed hair and the knot is more dense packed with hair. Big backbone....but a lot of guys like them quite good, so do I. If you prefer a little less backbone, then the two-band is for you - I have probably 10 or so....
