Straight Razor restoration in AU

I've got an old straight (Bengall) that I'd like to have restored. I've removed a lot of the rust and crud, but I'm not prepared to learn how to unpin/repin it to clean up the pivot.

Is there anyone in Oz who is an accomplished and reliable restorer that I could send it to?

There is this place in QLD that offers honing and restoration. Maybe shoot him an email.

I've not used his services myself, so this is not a personal recommendation, but I heard his honing is ok.

I’ve used him for a similar thing. He’s good. He rescaled this Friodur.

Does it have sentimental value? Or do you just want to make it 100% for aesthetic reasons?

To be honest, unless I need to replace the scales for some reason, I usually just leave them on and clean in there as best as I can. You might not get rid of all the dark marks, but it is easy enough to clean it to the point that all the active rust is gone and it is stable.

Not sentimental. I just picked it up. It's a great shaver so I wanted to look after it. There was a lot of rust on the tang, which I have mostly cleaned up. I'm just a little worried about the pivot, and wanted someone to get in there and ensure that any rust is dealt to.

A bit of a cosmetic spa wouldn't hurt, given the scales would be off.
