This shave followed a grueling morning of hard and hot work. A cold water shave was certainly in order!
The Athena worked in conjunction with the Perma-Sharp blade to yield a terrific, BBS shave. Awesome!

Comments	This is the second shave with the Henson SL13 razor and Wizamet blade. Usually, this razor gives me a smooth shave. However, today the shave was close but not as smooth as I like. Perhaps it is the blade. The brush that was in my rotation today was a SOC boar. However, there is so little soap left that I went with a smaller brush: the Omega Hi synthetic. This was the 67th and final shave with the Haslinger soap. The tiny bit of soap that remains will go in my remnant jar. Have a good day and weekend, folks.

SE SOTD, Friday, July 19th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP head + Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on blade or Gap used. excellent machining + finish QC make for a decent nimble shave. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild(9) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity using this razor, not sure how longevity is better but it seems to be.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green", very nice fresh evergreen natural forest scented with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle hair brush. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my favorite boar brushes for looks and performance + not a lather hog!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi "The Green" with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE 316SS razor with a Kai Captain titian mild blade.
