SE SOTD, Friday, April 19th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316SSP razor head with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Tame mid range to mid range depending on blade or shim used. I like to assemble small head parts on a wash cloth seems easier. The razor is very nimble shave with and works well for my self. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild (6) sharp and smooth with great longevity using this razor.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco, nice XXX scent similar to original XXX with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay Scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 weeper= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqu Romulus SE with a Kai Captain titian mild. (It does not get much better a shave for my self today!)

In keeping with this week‘s SOTD theme, I squeezed in a travel/sample themed shave. I had an open TOBS shaving cream sample and the KAI Paper Razor has been lying around in my den for some time.

The KAI is surprisingly efficient for a razor made of milk card board and a three blade metal cart glued to it. I used it so far three times and I think it could go for two more shaves, but I recycled it after today. I achieved a DFS with 2 passes WTG.

Mr Taylor‘s shaving cream is lathering amazingly fast and has a pleasing scent. The Liscio brush is as good as ever and the perfect travel brush because of its small size and fast drying synthetic bristles. The same goes for my travel bowl from DSC which is a sturdy plastic with a nice raised Bauhinia flower pattern at the bottom which helps lathering quite a bit. The brush rest on the handle and the fast drying of this bowl make this the perfect travel companion.

Today’s shave was completed with a sample of witch hazel and a few dabs of aloe Vera. Aftershave was a sample of TOBS- Royal Forest Aftershave.

Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D1)
Razor: Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone. (Settings) 3-wtg,4-atg,+pick ups.

A new shave set up to start the weekend. It's been some time since I last used the Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone. "Wow" what an incredibly comfortable close efficient shave.!!! Both my face & head are error-free BBS dolphin smooth. The Dorco Prime Platinum pairs with the razor superbly. This is the best combined face & head shave I've had with the Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone to date.

The Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone alone, like most of my more assertive razor's has vastly improved my technique and shaving confidence multitude.

Another close comfortable combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.
