First shave of the year, and a very nice one at that, comfortable and close. The Lord is a nice scent (I got it ages ago but has taken me a while to get used to it), very strong (one spray is plenty) but well rounded, a sweet tonka rose patchouli fougere (I think), goes well with the tonka in Brut.

A morning with the now defunct Cold River Soap Works soap and splash (my favorite made soaps there are not MWF or Tabac). Wonderful scents that are unique and elevate the shave. Third use of the Henson and it is even better as I dial it in. It easily goes over thick stubble it one pass with no need for touch up. The result is a DFS which I don’t usually get with a DE. Aces!

Comments	This was the fourth shave with my Karve Razor and PolSilver Super Iridium blade. The Karve/PolSilver combination continues to do an excellent job. The B&B Essential Boar was a good choice to attack the little soap that was left. The brush’s backbone made loading the soap easy. After 49 shaves there is not much left to this soap. Nevertheless, the shave was perfect.
