I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. One that I'll have to wake up very early for. I'll have no time to shave in the morning so I did a rare nighttime shave to be prepared.

Because I'm shaving at night I wanted to be careful of what scent (aftershave) I use. Not everything I'd wear during the day works for bedtime. So I decided the beautiful warm, wood and spice scent of No.63 would be perfect. Spoiler... It was.

I dropped a second-use RK blade into the Cx-Atlas razor with 316L Mild base plate and was set.

With this kind of soap, I like to rub it against my stubble. Kind of like a cheese grater then face lather with a wet brush. So I did this and it worked quite well.

I did a three-pass shave and even though I used the "-" base plate, it still has a good bit of efficiency. By no means was I let down by this configuration. I still earned a bbs.

So there you go. Once done I rubbed in some No.63 balm and that was that.

Off to bed I go smelling great. I can't ask for anything more.

Excellent one this morning, switched up to the regular R41. This is more than likely familiarity but this one feels smoother, I say familiarity as the regular 41 was one of my first razors and I used it exclusively for a good period of time and there is a significant difference in weight which may take a little bedding in. Switch back tomorrow morning out of interest.

This was one of those very positive surprises. Just as comfortable as it's closed comb brother and with very good result!

PS: didn't use the grip, saw it didn't really fit comfortably between the ridges on the bottom of the plate. Used a Super knurl handle for the shave (after taking the photo).

Comments	The sixth and final day using the ATT S-1 paired with a Wizamet blade. I normally don’t get that many shaves with a Wizamet blade but this combo seems to work. Another smooth, comfortable, close shave. Today’s brush is the Paladin Chief, another large brush. This brush is dense but feels soft on the face. It is a master of making great lather. Today is the 53rd shave in a row with MdC. Another perfect shave. Have a good day and weekend, folks.
