Soft market for BST razors?

I'll be damned before I voluntarily use PayPal, particularly as a seller. The litany of reasons NOT to use PP make this a no-go for me.

Have not noticed.

All I can say we are extremely lucky to have this option here.

For me, If I am listing something I want it to be a member friendly value. Priced very good. With sales going on out there, some can usually get 5/10/15 & even that rare 20 % off. Also you have factor in a smart shipping cost.
But if it does not sell quick , like in 3 or 4 days...it maybe to high or a low desirable item.
Drop the price quick to raise a few eyebrows and spark a few.
Ensure you have lots of great pics!
If it sits for to long , pull it.

Once sold, pack it up extremely well and get it out quick, miniumize the delay.
Close the damn thread also.
Commutate prompty its status to the buyer. They are excit ed, as you would be! Watch your PMs. Treat them as you would treat yourself. I go with..trying exceed expectations if you can.
YMMV
But this is my formula..
Follow the B& B guidelines!

Again, this is a huge benefit of being member here.

Without this RAD would be SAD...

If you have tools/ software sitting around collecting dust, taking up space. Maybe it is time for a new user & den...making someone else smile ( & clean shaved) with that item that they choose not to get new for whatever the reason.

I can't tell you how many times, i have bought wonderful hardware and software on BST for well below costs.

Yesterday, i face lathered with a Simpson 58 Best Badger. It has never lost a single hair and is feather soft, i can't imagine how Simpson's Super grade could be any better. Why because someone sold me that brush a price that made it affordable for me.

Each of the few times i have had a den cleaning, I've always paid forward the kindness and fellowship that B&B that represents the best of B&B.

I encourage you, gentle reader, to do the same.

I want to apologize to the Mods here about my initial post (above).

When I posted, I included details & specifics about my own situation that were misinterpreted as an attempt to sell an item outside the BST forum. That was not my intent, but in retrospect I certainly can see how it could be seen that way, and I sincerely apologize for my misstep. I am not trying to circumvent any rules of the board, and I'll be more careful in the future.

A kind mod thoughtfully and gently edited my post to make it appropriate, and I very much thank them for that.

The intent of my original post is that I believe there's good B&B members (myself included) who want to sell legitimate items at a fair price or better, but won't because of the PayPal mandate.

I'm sure that the B&B powers-that-be have thought more deeply about this than I, and accept that there'd likely be unintended consequences of removing the PayPal restriction... but it is still sad I cannot easily sell along my unused kit.

And now, I'll gracefully shut up about the matter. ;-)

I've only bought on the BST (so far), but I've found that most items I'm interested in go pretty fast. I've missed out on several razors despite PMing the seller the same day the listing was posted.

If anything, it seems like there's been a recent slowdown in the number of items being listed. That could just be my perception, though, since I now try to check it at least once per day.

Not sure why but, sales in general seem to have slowed down but we are into the holiday season so people are likely focused on family and various celebrations or work in some cases.

A FedEx envelope is $10 minimum. With no usps sending a letter will cost $20

Regarding bst, I looked there recently as I’m consumed with a new case of rad. Most things were sold. I see people lower the price if no immediate interest and I suppose you could make an offer lower than asking price. I’m not familiar with PayPal issues but personally if I were to buy gear I’d do it here and not on eBay.

First class mail or 3-day priority if needed for me most of the time.

If you ever have a problem, PayPal in my experience is generally a waste of effort and time. Add them sending tax reports to the IRS, holding money on newer accounts (paid a guy, got my razor, PayPal didn't release funds, I emailed PayPal saying all was good, etc. and it still over two weeks to get his funds since his PayPal was less than 6 months old, and other issues).

They will also give you a lifetime ban for anything remotely possible being firearm-related like a red dot sight for paint-ball, wood stock, or even screws they think might fit a scope rail, and other random stuff.

I will use it IF required with individuals or when the transaction value is low but, generally, I'm a USPS Money Order or Cashier's Check guy. Just had someone trying to get me to pay with Zelle but, I'm headed to the bank today for a Cashier's Check which will add a ~week to shipping since I must wait for funds to arrive but, I don't need my Thermal Scope this week either for night time feral hog shoots in ~mid-20's, wind chill in the 10F range, overnight lows.

In this case, the cost of a First Class stamp is in the background noise of costs and transmit time!

I posted 8 items on the BST a couple of weeks ago. Everything was gone in two days. And the transactions were smooth and friendly. I value that resource as well. I’ve also bought lots of stuff in there too. I will admit that once the BST was taken off the new posts list, things did slow down. But I get the reasons. It’s still a viable place to Buy, Sell and trade. I appreciate it.
