Soda or Pop

Some of the folks in West Tennessee use the term 'cold draink' when they want a soda pop. Never mind what else is cold.

I grew up in NC and the generic term for a soft drink was Coke regardless of what you wanted.
Here in KS, everyone calls them pop.

hehe. Yep, exactly. Someone would ask you if you wanted a Coke. You would say yep. And they would say, what kind. You would say Mt. Dew.

Texas boy here born and bred. Coke is it, though I had a Jr. High coach who called them soda water. A good friend of mine moved here in HS and I asked him if he wanted a Coke. He said, no he would prefer a Dr. Pepper. I 'splained to him Dr. Pepper was a "kind" of Coke. BTW, back when I drank Cokes, I was a Pepper.

We always called it "pop" here in B.C. Canada and still do.....seems very regional as to what its called.
