That is why I post the majority of mine cropped to square. That lowers the resolution just enough for my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

That’s a grey tip Trevor! Thank you!! I just tested that and the photo reduced to 1mb, which is in line with the threshold set for maximum file size when posting here.
I will do this going forward!

Yay!
After my reply last night, I investigated a little further. Photos taken using the special modes on the iPhone are all lower resolution as well. This includes Night mode, macro, flash, and Portrait Lighting. So that’s an option for those using an iPhone. I tested it this morning with one I took in Night mode, and it worked. I’ll mostly continue to crop to square as I like how that composition looks across different displays, but it’s nice to have options.
