Last night’s last shave of the month
RazoRock Game Changer 0.68OC on PAA el Fantasma handle
Cloud Bruce Lee (3)
Damp facecloth aka “shave binky”
AP ShaveCo Beehive Titanium UHD 28mm synthetic brush
Pre-shave: Al’s layering method
Lather: BSS#1 unscented, bowl-loaded and face-lathered
Aftershave: Olm Nom
Post-shave: warm shower :001_wub: and a drop of hyaluronic acid and a drop of glycerin
Post-shave: Equate moisturizer

I wanted to shave before showering without paying the price too much. Once again, advice from a Yorkshireman saved it all. Layered on lather and the slickness and hydration were excellent. Shave was less than ethereal, but more than good. Will probably wash my face before lathering next time because clean, but not like 4-5 times before lathering.

April Fools, please don’t be wild.
Next up is my Henson mild.

Happy shaves, everyone!

Is that before or after the tip?
Exactly my point...oh yeah, not to mention the TouchPad tipflation business. My whole life, tipping for good service was 15%. Now, 18% is like a "minimum" and every vendor is asking for it. You order a to-go sandwich at a deli counter and do touch to pay..."would you like to add 18%, 22% or 25% to your order?"

I don't mind providing a good tip to a server that has taken good care of me across a meal, but no, I don't feel I should have to give the cashier $3 to ring up a sandwich, or $2 to fill up a bag of popcorn at the movie theater.

I think we need to give thought to treating food service workers the way the Europeans do...pay them a proper living wage and do away with the whole tip business.

And before anyone calls me scrouge, I spent a good bit time waiting tables, tending bar, and working as a cook as a young man, so no, my intent is not to shaft food service workers. Heck, I used to own a restaurant.

Time to go make a plate of eggs, and put "Nelly's Organic Eggs" on direct deposit

Rant over. Back to you, Thom.

Oh, yeah, on another thread, I posted a gif of a man stating that he was destitute in response to a comment about fancy toys and eggs. I posted that about me, because that's how I feel when I go to the market and see the price of eggs.

Now my rant is over. I think.

Not made for these times.
I won't discuss what my wife and I sneak into the movie theater in her purse, at least not in polite company.

Ah, so that was you in row #15...seat #7.

My first use of Mark’s Sauvage #4 by @BigAlVista was impressive. A creamy croap that spread easily in my soap-loading bowl and smells like a million bucks (or seven million after recent inflation
). While layering the soap did everything I wanted, the feeling this soap needs to have a billowing lather is unshakable. I hear there’s another shave to be had soon. Maybe even tonight.

Last night’s shave was a return to the Henson AL13+. As joyful as it was, I was surprised my inner monologue stopped croaking “blood of child!*” long enough to suggest using the RazoRock Super Slant Lvl3SB and not to proclaim the “scientific superiority” of Henson brand safety razors to one and all. Conflicted subconsciousnesses and all, it was a great shave.

Wifey made me a variant of ratatouille we’ve called goulash for years and it was as heavenly as remembered. It’s basically summer squash, zucchini, crushed tomatoes, sausage, and seasonings, but it isn’t basic at all. Flavor-pilled yumcore without known boundaries. Hungry again.

Happy shaves, everyone!

Update: skin on neck is a little irritated. Feel like luxury is demanding I either shower first or use common sense.
