Serbian tallow soap

I had Palmira shaving cream. As well as Dendi shaving soap. This soap and cream was sent to me from Serbia by a participant of the Russian forum from Belgrade.

I have tried the Palmira cream as well and I enjoy it very much. I’ve been tempted to try the Dendi but haven’t ordered it yet. Is it worth getting?

I received Dendi soap as a gift. This soap is of good quality and has a pleasant aroma. But I don't see the point in buying this if it's going to be very expensive shipping.

Looks like I can get it shipped to the US with either $1 shipping or free shipping. But the one vendor that I’m seeing has it for about $22 which seems pretty high for a 70g container

I ordered and received the 3 for $22 deal on ebay. Got them today (only 2 weeks) and will use tomorrow morning. It does come in a small cube that I don't see being easy to use so I pressed it into a container. Has a nice almond/marzipan scent. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

So I pressed that little cube into a spare container I kept hanging around and it was easy to do since the soap is quite soft. Went to lather it with one of my favorite synthetic brushes and got squat. A thin/bubbly lather that quickly disappeared. A lot like modern Williams.

I've tried more and less water. Hot and not so hot water and so on. Any hints/clues as to what I'm not doing right

Like I said earlier in this thread, it's really not a great soap when compared to the classics.
I paid a lot, waited a long time, and didn't get much satisfaction.

Yes, disappointing for sure. Was hoping a tallow based soap would work better. Guess we live and learn

I Waxed The Badger.
Try it with your very hottest water. It needs very hot water to work properly, at least in my experience. Night/day type difference.
