seersucker suits

I wear seersucker along with a nice chambray bow tie and Panama hat for a classic southern look. I usually wear a light pastel dress shirt, and I have gotten many compliments on the outfit.

Also, the general consensus that dark colors is hotter in the heat has been debunked.

Only if you are indoors or out of the sun. In the sun ... darker colours soak up more light and get hotter.

Darker colors soak up the heat, but light colors pass it along, so there really is no difference in transmitting heat to the body between dark and hot colors. The key is actually keeping the clothing off of the body (so the hot air can escape) and that is why seersucker is so good for hot days. The puckering keeps the fabric from maintaining too much contact. Its also why burqas can be black as night; they are billowing so as to let the hot air escape.

Worn to an afternoon event. Turned out great.

I have to say that, despite my "badmouthing" seersucker suits look great! I'm just jealous because I have a blocky, offensive lineman body and they make me look twice as big! Wear them in (hot and humid) good health!
