Definitely one of my favorites. I haven't purchased yet though because I have so many samples and because I refuse to pay Creed's prices for their smaller sizes. Creed is only worth purchasing in the flacons.

Eau de Vetyver
by Givenchy
vintage

Absolutely one of the best classic vetivers ever made. Where Guerlain tempered theirs with tobacco, Givenchy tempers theirs with a nutty almond note that actually gives it a touch of "sandalwood" and a fairly odd but enjoyable feel. I'm wearing a vintage version that is absolutely phenomenal once it gets going (the top notes are a bit damaged but once the earthy rooty vetiver and almond get rolling it's fantastic). I haven't tried the current formulation so no opinion on their differences but I highly recommend any vetiver fans to check out the vintage version of this one. It is perhaps the most quintessential vetiver ever made.
