REQ: Feedback on Choosing a Straight Razor?

As I received several suggestions to look at vintage razors, I've been skimming the B/S/T and other areas for solid buys. I noticed this auction on eBay, and it's a thing of beauty, and perhaps worth purchasing for that alone... but perhaps a practical purchase as well?

The seller seems to have been met favourably both here and on eBay, so that's a plus...


Thoughts? I'd love to hear from some folks with actual experience regarding this sort of thing.

Skimming over the B/S/T list, I'm not seeing much difference in price between things there and the ones I linked... I'm sure there are some fabulous deals, having read of such finds in other threads. If I've overlooked something, would you mind pointing me in the right direction?

Most of Larry's razors are $33, granted they are not lookers but you'll get a nice bit of vintage steel with a very well regarded edge on it.
