RazoRock Cyber Razor II pass around

Another great shave with the Cyber. I believe it is time to pass it along.

The medium may be too much for a daily driver for me (too much pink face). A half step of full step down may be better for everyday (for me).

Thanks again to JL 52.
Glad to hear your experiences with the Cyber. Let us know if you end up trying out the mild version of it down the road.

I just got the razor today, and I immediately appreciated its design. It’s not what I expected, in a good way. It’s fascinating, sleek, and geometric. The handle, always my favorite in their lineup, looks even better in black. Separately, the aesthetic of both the head and the handle looks great, but together, it doesn’t look like they belong in the same family. I also noticed that some interior corners seem a bit too sharp for such a soft metal, and might later end up dinged.

But the design is less important to me than how it feels during a shave. I will consider buying it if it is comparable or better than my Game Changer 76 (my current favorite). So I’m looking forward to tomorrow morning’s shave.

Thank you @JL 52 and @ErkRusselReserve

Looking forward to your review and comparison to a GC 76! I think the Cyber shaves a bit better with a SS handle and keeping it wet and wild. But go with your standard procedure for the first go round.

Note- I dinged one of the bottom facing corners somehow. It is not in the shaving area, so it will not affect the shave.

I'm watching this thread very closely also. I can't wait to see what you think of it. I personally think it's the best design I've ever used. It is my go-to razor.

This morning, I had the opportunity to use it for the first time, and I was pleasantly impressed. The shave was very smooth, close, and enjoyable. As someone who shaves daily, I could definitely see this becoming my daily driver.

I opted for the products I was most comfortable with: Barrister and Mann Waves soap, the AP Shave Co brush with the G5C knot, and a first-use Astra Platinum (Russian).

However, just like the others before me, I noticed it tends to “stick/drag” too much for my liking. It requires a very, very wet and thin lather to perform optimally. Despite this dragging sensation, it felt similar to my Game Changer 76 and it was just as smooth. No complaints there, the geometry is spot on. It is quite bulky, and I couldn’t fit it comfortably under my nose. Typically, I rock the razor parallel to the nostril, but this was the first time I had to angle the side in. I’m relieved the tabs are not exposed.

It’s too early to say for sure, but I don’t think this razor is right for me, either in design or performance. Personally, I highly appreciate the Lupo’s design, with the notched corners, the scalloped bar, additional supports, and a recess for the handle. I find every detail exceptional. However, in terms of performance, I favor the Game Changer because it’s smoother. If RazoRock creates a razor that combines the Lupo’s design with the Game Changer’s geometry and feel, I’ll give them all my money. But the Cyber Razor is not it.
