The open comb isn’t there to help shave better - it’s there to look better. And the one on a Fatip feels better if one is going steep.

Alright steep it is. I will give that a try for my next shave with it. Thank you for the tip.

That’s up to him. Even though I love the feel of the Fatip’s comb, I get a better shave at a neutral angle.

I do and an R41 and a Merkur 41C and an RR SLOC and I had an RR Old Type (I still have it but not in my rotation). Yep I have some OC razors.

Oh I know about the steep shavers and the cap riders. For me I think each razor wants to be used at their unique angle. I cannot be part of SASA nor CRAP since for me it is not a one size fits all. They are all different.

I have some decent OC razors.... I don't find the upper mild to medium efficiency range OCs to be much different than solid or scalloped base plates as far as shaving technique is concerned...

None of the teeth interfere with my shaving technique.... Each of them might have a slightly different shaving angle for their sweet spot, but none of them are what I'd call aggressive.... Not like the R41.
