How was the cruise, Boris?
It was great. It was a bit on the short side but it was good. Very smooth water. Great weather. Just walked off in Naussau and pretty much back on. We have been there before and really didn't need anything. We hung out on the ship instead and relaxed. Not my favorite Disney ship layout wise but very pretty nonetheless.

Still a bit of a rough shave. Not sure what is going on. Almost like a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde blade. One moment it is smooth a nice and the next it is rough. Still a very close shave. Skin tenderness and tightness.

Wow! Just wow! Super nice shave and not a hint of irritation. What changed? I have absolutely no idea. Maybe because I had 36 hours between shaves. I do not know. Fantastic BBS shave. Blade and razor did their parts. No issues whatsoever.

And we are back to the issues that I have seen with this. Back and forth with great and then I have a bit of a rough shave. It is very puzzling to me why this is happening. Overall though a pleasant shave. Post shave I did have skin tenderness. Plenty close shave and very close to BBS.

Well well first test run with this blade. It is certainly a sharp blade and it removed my whiskers in a hurry. I did however, have post shave skin tightness and I stirred up a weeper. Plenty close shave though and overall a solid shave. Good start to a new shave week.

Very nice shave this morning. I decided to cut down on the number of passes to see if that will reduce my irritation from last shave and it seems to have worked. Hopefully it will stay that way in subsequent shave. Pleasant shave and plenty close.

Got back yesterday from out little cruise. It felt a bit short, but it is always good to get home after being away. We had the smoothest seas that I have experienced on a cruise. There was literally no waves to talk about. It is strange to see the Atlantic ocean that calm. Ship was the Disney Wish which is currently their newest ship, but they are releasing a new ship later this year (Treasure). It is very beautifully done,

We drove down to Port Canaveral, FL on Thursday last week and once we arrived we took a stroll on Cocoa Beach. It was a very pleasant evening. In the distance you can see the launch towers of Cape Canaveral. One of these days I would like to take a tour of the Kennedy Space Center.

The following morning it was time to get on the ship. The Disney Wish and it is a very pretty ship. The pictures do not do it justice. Besides my dear wife took a lot of much better pictures.

We had a great cruise and we stopped at Nassau and disney's own island Castaway Cay. We just got off the ship at Nassau, but the peddlers were so bad so we got back on. Castaway Cay was beautiful and I shared one picture with you from it and here is another. Gorgeous day as you can see.

Drive home from Florida yesterday was not bad. It took about 10 hours including a few stops. Got home around 4 PM yesterday afternoon. We might do driving from now on for your cruises. It is much less hassle than flying.

We ended up loosing one of our older hens while we were gone. It is not strange since the older ones are 5+ years old so they are getting a bit up in age. Still a bit sad. I guess the good thing is that if we loose a couple of more we will get some more chicks in the spring to bring the flock number back up.

Shaving was good on the cruise. You can see that above in my SOTDs. I wrapped up the Viking's Sword and it was a bit of a mixed bag of shaves. It is certainly a sharp enough blade for me and I would rank it up there along with the Dorco Titan. It is not as smooth as the Dorco though nor the Treet TJAX. My statistical rankings so far shows:

  1. Dorco Titan
  2. Treet TJAX
  3. Personna Viking's Sword
Now these rankings are based on the single blade use that I have had with these blade and they may change once the bonanza is over and I go back and use up the rest of the blades for each. We will see.

Of course now the time has come that I had to load up the GSB blade. I knew this time would eventually come. On Sunday evening on the cruise ship I had my first shave with it and it was certainly a sharp blade, but I did end up with post irritation from it. So for this morning's shave I cut back to 2.5 passes and that seems to have helped to cut out the irritation. We will see if it continues to shave this way or not.

Have a blessed day everyone and happy shaves

I shaved a fortune
I still have the Tuck of GSB Andrew included when he gifted me an extra Canada Pre-War Tech he had.... I need to use them, but in the meantime, I seem to have fallen in love with these German Schick DE blades..... Man, are they sharp and smooth for me... and as I keep mentioning "NO GLUE DOTS".... I can't tell you how nice that is. <eg>

Looks great. We're going in February from Hawaii on the Disney Wonder to Vancouver. Really looking forward to it because February in Regina isn't a particularly warm or attractive place to be. Glads your mini-cruise was enjoyable.
Cool that sounds like a great trip! Yeah we are actually booked on the Disney Wonder for next August for an Alaskan cruise.
