Possible solution for alum slipping out of my hands

Well I dropped my alum again only this time it wasn’t salvageable. I posted recently about how to fix my alum the cracked and the sanding down and dremel ideal worked, until it slipped again and fell in the sink.
The solution, or perhaps one way to help with the dropsies is I ordered a bag of assorted sized black rubber bands from Amazon and found one that fit perfectly around the aluminum block. I haven’t tried it while shaving yet but holding it while dry felt promising. Maybe this could help someone else on the forum!

There are other sizes that could fit around the alum block on the shorter end if so desired.

yeah for future reference Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements sells it like that already if its a big issue. I got the razorock alum block and ive never dropped it but I also dont use alum unless I cut myself or make a weeper. Alum seems to just burn my skin and irritate it so I only use it for cuts and weepers. Funny enough I cut myself doing dishes the other day and sealed up the cut with alum. Its a nice multi tool to have laying around the house.

Rubber bands are.great for grip. You can put them around glass jars and other things for similar benefits.

lol i honestly thought it would sting more than it did but it wasnt even as bad as putting alcohol or something on it. It really didnt sting that much to be honest. I was surprised.

yeah them and razorock and shave nation have a deodorant style one aswell. I feel like those are even better and easier to use.

I wrap 1/2" masking tape 2 or 3 times around one end of the block. Works great.
