Polsilver super iridium question

I wounder how much money the can save by removing the outer wrapper ? On something that cost so little, every cent is important.

Is this the sincerity we get for lamenting four wax dots? Seems they have made some recent changes in the way they are packaging some of the blades over at PPI.

* The layout on that packet perfectly matches the layout on the ones that I have.

I shall try them again someday :) For the moment, the only blades that agree with my skin are the Perma-Sharp, the IP, the Schick and the Gillette Super Stainless.

Hi Maxime,

You shaved with those Polsilver Super Iridium blades and they were not agreeable? If so, I am wondering if something is amiss. Perma-Sharp blades are sometimes compared to Super Iridium. Maybe the single wrapper is evidence that these PSI were not made on equipment in Saint Petersburg.

The blade boxes are exactly the same. Both made in S. Petersburg.

I was talking about the Astra :) I didn't tried the PSI yet, I need my face to recover from an encounter with a Derby... lolll

Bloody hell, we're back in business son ! I just finished to shave with my first Iridium, waouhhh so sharp and so smooth. I never felt my face that BSS with 3 passes and no touch up. As a Perma-Sharp fanboy, I must say that the Iridium is 1 step ahead in the ladder, they feel similar but Iridium is a bit smoother and sharper. I noted that it was very smooth when I shaved under the jaw/ears area, usually it drag at this particular spot.

This looks good. Super Iridiums are my favorite blades, but I won't miss the four big wax dots on them, two in the middle is better.

When the original SI blade supply dried up (I think I got the last 50 from Bullgoose), everyone was looking for the "best replacement."

I settled on Astras, which were slightly less smooth, and slightly less sharp than the Super Iridiums. I think many other folks did, as well. I did not bother trying the many other good St. Pete Gillette blades, but many of them are/were worthy substitutes. The Astras are good, and inexpensive.

I recently got 50 Polsilver SI from Bullgoose (again, it may have been nearly his last lot of 50). These seem to be just slightly smoother and slightly sharper than the Astras, which makes them "just like" the original SI blade.g

The wax doesn't really bother me either way, two dabs or four, though I would prefer the same blade "without" if it were possible, but the wax is part and parcel of both these excellent blades. I have not noticed a difference in the packaging, but will check the next time I go for a Polsilver SI.
