Pipe Of The Day (POTD)

Saved the last of this bottle for this evening's smoke. I unfortunately don't have any Peterson tins open,so this is as Irish as I could get. Slainte!

The new Peterson Army Filter Sandblast 999 arrived today from SP. A bowl of LL-7 provided a tremendous inaugural smoke. This jumps immediately into my top 3 pipes. Goldilocks size, clenches wonderfully, feels good in the hand, very efficient burn, effortless draw even with the filter (9mm) in place. No negatives to note.
To quote Judge Elihu Smails, "Top notch!"

Had to do some unexpected travel for work so my St. Pats day smoke was at a friend's place who let me crash (better than a hotel). Didn't have any Irish baccy eith me so it was some GLP Jackknife, but the pipe, pint and dram were all Irish.

Arrived home this afternoon and after going out for dinner with my wife and son to catch up had some Westminister in a GBD and an Abbot Ale on the deck to enjoy the nice weather we have had over the last coupke days.

Not much time for a pipe this morning, but I still wanted one. So, some Mac BarenHH Old Dark Fired went into the Dr. Grabow "Commodore" Canadian. Just about ten minutes' smoke, as I know that stuff is strong. It served to wake me up. I'll see if the remainder is still smokeable when I get home tonight.
