This is a neat one. After seeing this ad, it reminded me of a stone on a paddle that I got years ago. I always wondered where it came from because it’s an old Washita on a paddle with leather on the back, but looks factory made. I’m not saying it’s this quick edge desk stone, but it sure matches the description perfectly.

How much does it weigh? 1/12 of 2 pounds maybe? Interesting either way!

I'd never heard of hindostan grades. It's interesting to see the direct comparison to a Washita for marketing.

Oli's been singing their praises for a while. Might be time to check one out.

Good tool grade ones can be quite decent, bad ones are some of the most annoying naturals. Every once in awhile you come across one fine enough where you can shave off the thing and it is actually comfortable after a good stropping.

Oli praises everything but queer creeks, which are only slightly worse than Hindos IMO.

He does seem to find the beauty in all of God's creatures. Even the 1,752 micro-varietals of Welsh slate.

Heres my contribution to the lable-library.
Theres some really nice cursive handwriting on both stone and case, im thinking like a fountainpen or one of those steel dip-pens. To me it looks like it says "n xx N98".
Sounds like one of those nihilistic new wave synthbands if you ask me. But you didnt. But now you know!

"Size 3" is apparently 76 x 51 x 11/3mm.
I do have a radius checking tool somewhere...

I thought that might be the case because of the instructions, but it looked a little different.

I guess one from around WW1, when all things German were verboten?
