PIF Wilkinson Sword blades made in Brazil by P & G

I've only used a blade twice but they seem to be very sharp but smooth. Much better shave than the Dorcos I was using. I have used them in a 48-50 Superspeed and my Slim. I will try to post up how many good shaves I get from these. Thanks again edw!

I've searched around, and I cannot find any place to buy these Brazilian manufactured blades in NA.

It seems someone pointed out a place that would ship internationally, but my Portuguese isn't up to the job. (Much beyond please and thank you I'm lost, and I need note cards for thank you.)

Are they available anywhere someone knows about.

Fourth shave with the same blade today, and still going strong
Four shaves in, this blade feels like an IP on its first shave!

There are very few blades from which I can occasionally get a week’s worth of comfortable shaves. I am able to get a week’s worth of shaves out of several NOS blades, but no current production blade lasts me more than five or six days on a regular basis. The Brazilian Wilkinson from P&G may prove to be an exception.

With relative ease, I have been able to push this blade past the seven-day mark. This is not due to any psychological factors, as far as I know--but, I might add that the last three shaves have required additional passes in order to get me satisfactory results (4 1/2 total). I found this blade non-irritating and I was able to perform extra passes without harming my skin.

My preliminary impression is that this blade is very high quality; that it is better than some of the most expensive blades on the market. It is smooth and sharp and shaves very well in comparison to most blades, and extra shaves can easily be finessed out of it. I hope that large quantities of these will be available from some vendor in the near future.

Yes I also noticed a bit of roughness at the start of the first pass. But the blade rapidly settled in to the smooth magnificence that you speak of!

I looked at everything which came up with a Wilkinson blade search on eBay. And I didn't see any domestic or international sellers with them.

Not saying my search terms were correct. Maybe someone who searches better can find them.

I left a pack of these wilkinsons on my table in my room, to wait for me for today's shave.. and on table I left few papers that was for trash bin, and my uber/super/extra clean mother entered my room while I was out, and grabbed papers and blades along with them, thinking it was some garbage. Well, it would be good if she did threw them in bin, I would dig like some junkie :001_rolle but... winter is here, and we are heating with wood, and guess what, she threw those papers and pack of blades together in stove/furnace/oven/cauldron, whatever it is called :crying::cursing:

And here they are, roasted...:crying:

Damn, I need to move out, as soon as possible..

I thought someone mentioned that they are available in some local B&M stores in SA. But maybe it is just old stock and they're gone. IDK.

Hi guys, sorry to chime in a little late. I live in Uruguay, and if you google it (unlikely you ever heard of it before), is nect to brazil. Now, DE shaving in my country is forgeotten so the ONLY brand of DDE blades availabale here are....guess what?????? ...............Brazilian wilkinsons. As you know they come in a pack of three. I can do some research and see if they can be bought in bulk here in uruguay. Obviously someone imports them.......Or i can have a friend who lives in brazil search for me. Anyway, so that some of you son't worry, they are still very much inproduction and i guess they will remain so, being one of the few DE blades produced in south america.
As a side note, i find them to be inferior to, say....sharks SS (fav blade) in irritatrion terms, but quite sharp indeed.
In a previous thread i rated them as the worst blade i had tried but after rotatring by numerous different blade brands i finally went back to the last wilkinson i had i i was surprised. Obviously my technique had improved because i had one of the best shaves in my llife......:confused1:confused1 so.....go figure......
(Specs are: Fatboy on 9!!!, TOBS Mr.T cream, Simspons brush, 2 min hot towel) as alost ALWAYS!

cheers!

Jesus!!! just looked at my post!, sorry for the miss spelling but the keyboard coupled to my non-native english is a dangerous cocktail....hehehe

Not a problem. I also had no trouble. As we become more cosmopolitan it becomes easier to wade through non-native language.

In another 50 years the whole world will speak Spanglishinese anyway.

I would certainly be interested in finding out about bulk blades, as long as bulk is about 100 or 250.

If a minimum order is large, maybe 10,000 blades, I don't think I would be interested. I do not want to be the North American distributor.
