Penhaligon's Castile.....

I think it's great. I also don't ever smell the rose note on me. I smell the neroli at the beginning then I'm hit with an orange citrus blast of some sort like a previous poster mentioned. Then the calm after the storm...I'm sort of undecided here, but I'm going to go with a soft musk and or something woodsy but soft and pleasant with still a hint of citrus in there every so often.

I like Castile. Think I may go buy it now....thanks a lot OP!! You work for Penhaligons don't you?!?

This was my first Penhaligon's fragrance. When I asked for samples, almost one year ago exactly, I was wanting to desperately sample English Fern. When I got a sample of Castile, I tried it and LOVED it immediately. My fiancee at the time loved it as well, and the rest is history.

I will always wear this scent; the neroli is quite pleasant to me, and I've been searching out other scents that seem to revolve around it (Hoyt's is another favorite - I detect a neroli note in there, as well). I too have wondered about the Floris 127 because, as a previous poster has mentioned, it contains similar notes.

I feel like Castile is a very "summertime" scent, especially in the south where it's usually sweltering in that season. It seems to bring out the best in Castile. Although, I tend to wear it year-round. :001_smile
