I tried two new (to me) orange soaps the last couple of days.
Maggard Orange menthol is definitely orange. Real orange. I did not smell menthol but I felt it. Maybe it was because it was my first time with this soap (with a new brush) but the lather was not as slick or protective as I had hoped. Will try again.
Catie's Bubbles Fouet L'Orange - definitely fruity and sweet, but the orange does not stand out to my nose. The closest thing I can think of is Juicy Fruit or Fruit Stripe gum. Lather was very nice, very slick (though I have used other CB before and knew what to do to get that lather).
So far my favorite orange scent is RR Don Marco. Creamy, sweet orange. Leaning to creamsicle.
Edited to add that I probably didn't load enough soap with the Maggard. I took a little of the sample and put it in a plastic dish so there was not a lot of surface area for the brush to pick it up.
