There ad says nothing about stainless for the Element. The price of the Element is $79 and the price of the Hybrid is $125 both available on Amazon. The Hybrid is a stainless head and plastic around steel handle.

Yes, which means the hybrid is still the better option for most customers, as long as they still have inventory stock. The element feels like a cheaper approach to cut costs, now granted a while back they dropped the price of the genisis from 400$ to 285$ which I feel is a good deal.

That is a great price for the Genesis, if I like the Element I just might upgrade.

I picked up mine 2 years ago, lightly used off ebay for literally 100$! with 120 blades that the sellar offered me in the package for another 100$ and I took it! If you can grab a genisis go for it and if you don't love it, return it man. I'm fairly certain you'll love it with the new blades!

I have seen the Hybrid for sale a couple of places, afraid to say where. I was warned that there was a reason they cancelled it, does anybody have any info/opinions on this? I just might go ahead and order it when there is a sale because the stainless head sounds like a better choice. Otherwise, yeah, the Element is on sale right now...

Go to the the ridge website they sell wallets and other stuff etc. They sell a full metal head with a stronger aluminum handle which is much stronger than the elements for 100$. Its much better suited for longevity.

Thanks for the great suggestion! It was on clearance and I bought 2 for less than $100. Off to order some blades now...

I will be interested in your experience with these, and certainly the price is right. I found the carbon blades to be too aggressive in my Hybrid, though the Hybrid is OK with the Feather stainless blades. But I like mild razors.
