If you can manage to post while in freefall, you'll be a god here.

Good luck!

Well hopefully you are still there, only a week left about. You sore all the time?

Do you have your duty station yet?

I'm alive! Oh God I'm alive.

....to quote myself once I checked my canopy and opened my eyes.

That school was.....unpleasant. Back to the basic living standards, cold weather, rain, running everywhere and tight equipment.

But I made it. My buddy that came with me from our unit wasn't so lucky and ended up with a broken femur, a metal rod and two screws.

Jumping was a rush though and once I made that first one I was ready for the second.

The posts about the training being good are absolutely right. It might seem unnecessary but it might come into play and if it does you'll be ready.

I managed to land on someones canopy and had to run off just before my chute fully collapsed due to the lack of air above the other jumper.

Well, now I'm off to have a nice relaxing and well deserved shave.

aaaaaaAAAIRBORNE.

Well, I'm off to Fort Benning GA for Airborne School. Slightly nervous but I've made it through most stuff up until now.

All the shaving stuff is packed up and hopefully I'll have time in the evenings to get clean.

Wish me luck. Hopefully my parachute opens.

Imagine though. Proraso on the face then falling through the sky. Talk about brisk.

God bless you and keep you and thank you for you service to the country!

Congrats!

You're no longer a dirty, nasty, leg!

Sorry to hear your buddy got injured. Maybe he can make it back some day.

Welcome to the club, Brother.

Edit to add: Isn't it fitting that my 82nd post is an Airborne post!
