You should get the round nose for you, and also pick up the spike point for me.
I think the fears of a spike point are exaggerated. My first razor was a square point and it only bit me once or twice, and it wasn't that bad. Just enough to let me know that I needed to pay closer attention to WTH I am doing.
The square point is better for trimming, you know exactly where the cutting edge ends, with a round nose it's not as easy to see where the cutting edge stops, IMO.
