What's new

New to the forum

I've been thinking about old-school DE safety for months, the last coupe weeks lots of research.

Current gear.
Panasonic ES-LV65 electric.

I used to use
Gillette cartridge razor.

New Gear Timeless polished TI68 titanium crown handle OC, scalloped and scalloped cap.

Timeless Razor's Adjustable Shaving Brush handle green. GOLDED NIB: 3 Band Nylon 24.

Shannon's soaps The Scarlet Zone, vet gift was a towel.

The Forum was a lot of help, as was Ohio Shaves on YT.
The razor arrived Friday 14. First shave on the on the 15 and beard was coarse, four days I don't have to shave for my career.

Needless to say, good thing I still have the elec.

I tried the scalloped side first, then OC. My lather wasn't very good, I did a face lather I applied too much pressure
my skin was a new shade of pink, it felt like I was taking off a layer of skin Gillette Platinum. I tried a couple more small passes, and I stopped because my skin was irritated. Finished it with the elec.

I tried it again 3-17, two days of growth scalloped side Gillette Platinum I got a delivery Saturday more sample
blades and premade shaving cream, Castle Forbes lavender. It went a lot better on the second try, almost a complete shave good pressure just let the razor do the work and I just focused on the angle.

I looked at a lot of razors online and videos. The reviews, the praise for Timeless and all the configurations, and your damn pictures.

Welcome aboard!

You are a brave man to break out the DE for the first time on 4 days' growth. Things should settle down a bit if you focus on face prep and taking it very slow while you perfect your technique.

Welcome!

If you haven't, please check out the new shaver information threads. Theres a lot of help there. It may seem overwhelming since everything is new.

Good choice in the canned foam until you learn your razor. You can practice lathering with a brush until you get it where you want it, then incorporate that into your daily shave.

Keep at it, follow the threads/forums that interest you, and let us know how things are progressing.

Welcome to the forum.

You've got yourself a really nice razor. It takes a while to get used to wielding a DE razor. But once you start getting the hang of it, your shaves will improve. And that improvement will continue and continue. :)

Remember to maintain the razor's effective shaving angle. In doing so, you'll find that you shave less with your wrist and more with your shoulder.

Thank you, for the shoulder tip.

3-18 third shave cleaned my face with Shannon's soaps The Scarlet Zone. New blade Astra SP, Castle Forbes lavender shaving cream. I went very slow, using the weight of the razor and shoulder and re lather. I Almost accomplished a complete shave, lots of progress, first nick.

Gentleman thank you
