I don’t know how @Rudy Vey takes the basic keyhole pattern and makes a livelier looking handle than the Simpson crew, but, man, is that a stunning brush. He made a bog oak (r.i.p.) and then a resin one for @dmshaver that are also works of art. It’s like a special niche of “keyhole handled brushes for gentlemen named Dave.”

Thank you, my friend. I am rather attached to all of my Rudy Vey brushes.

Rudy is making me a two tone, dark red ring at the top.... smaller/proportional red ring at the bottom.... Patterned Ivory in the middle... As Rudy calls it: the "Real" faux ivory....

I won't have the funds until late in December... but I'm sure I'll see it early in January... Shipping times get extended during the holidays....

Just received a Cestomen AC Barber Razor from AliEx yesterday. The head shape is interesting:

In use, the Cestomen is a decent inexpensive razor. Fairly efficient. Smooth. No blood or irritation. Feels good in hand. Had to fiddle a bit with the blade to get the front to back blade exposure even. Works better if I load the blade part way and the use a towel to push it down into place. Not in the same class as the Woody, but not too shabby for an inexpensive AC Barber Razor.

Same Supporting Cast since Sunday.

I'm very fortunate my name is Dave! Here are the two Keyhole shaped brushes the artist & gentleman @Rudy Vey has made for me, one in ivory with a DG B14 & the other is tortoise shell with a Shavemac D01 3 Band.
