Need Help Finding a Better Blade

Iridiums are VERY sharp....and it is just an opinion. I for one also think that feathers are not as sharp as iridiums now that ive tried feathers. To my beard feathers dont really make a dent.......lol sounds strange but true . As for the OP you should really try the indian green Gillette Permasharps. Very sharp with no glue....although I must admit the glue doesnt bother me.

Thanks...I shaved with the feather a 3rd time and it was flat out dull unlike the Iridium that lsted 5 shave on my coarse beard. I was thinking of trying the Greens. It was on my top list and think after reading your post we seem to have simalar beards. I will give them a try, and derby, and sharks.

I too find Feathers to be coarse with lots of tugging. By the time I've removed the hair, I've also removed most of the skin as well!

Derby, Bluebirds, Bic, Personna etc. are all merely average for me.

Iridiums are my favourite, with Astras and Gillette yellows coming in a very close second. Astras are quite a bit cheaper, so are well worth a try.

I use a Gillette Slim and a Flair Tip Superspeed, and have no real problems with the glue (actually it's wax). With the glue spots up, they can bind to the TTO doors, making them difficult to open. With the spots down you can easily get the blade out of the razor.

I'm still enjoying my green packs of "Sharp" blades currently. Double wrapped, no glue on the inside blade pack though. They seem pretty cheap, and were suprisingly smooth on my course beard, getting 4-5 multi pass shaves, w/o irritation, I also agree w/ the person who suggested the yellow Bic's, they are pretty smooth also.
