I can’t compare as I’ve never tried the SS but I do have the Kagayaki 12k 10mm and it warps.

That's the Japanese domestic version of SS.

I have owned both the 20 mm American version (S2-491) and the 20 mm Japanese version (NK-2291) and, in my opinion, there is no difference. Both stones are capable of putting a very sharp and comfortable edge on a razor. You may hear people describe the edges as feeling harsh. In my opinion, the edges are comfortable and only when I truly max out a Naniwa 12k edge do I feel a hint of harshness.
