Nacet verses Perma Sharp Blades

I think it's very interesting that some people prefer the Nacets.... Others, the Perma-Sharp.... I'd wager either is an excellent choice... One might work better for someone than the other for some reason.

What was a bit surprising was: the variation in the sharpness and smoothness experienced by those who posted..... The Perma-sharp is sharper and smoother.... The Nacet is sharper and smoother..... I wonder if the manufacturing dates is a factor.
This is a case where I wager PPI production is more consistent than subjective impressions.

Of course this is highly subjective. On my face, I get better shaves from Nacet. Smoother than PermaSharp, for me. I toss them after two shaves. Cheap enough not to worry about the small amount saved by going further and risking pulling or tugging. At 15c per blade, that is 7.5c per day if used twice, 3.75c if used 4 times; so the difference is under 4 pennies a day to use for only two days. Not worth squeezing the last pennies, to me anyway.

Goblin makes a good point above, regarding blade exposure. I use a razor with very small exposure. Things may well be different with a larger exposure razor.

Perma Sharp for me, Nacets are good but Perma Sharp are a cut above, see below.

* Whilst being a decent blade Nacets a 3.5/5 for me, Perma Sharp Takes the win 4.75/5

Great question! I prefer the Nacet. The Nacet shaves smoother than the PermaSharp, is slightly sharper than the Permasharp, & lasts a few more shaves than the PermaSharp. But there's one problem, those are my findings for my face.
This, Im the flip side of the coin to @dmshaver where im a Perma Sharp guy and thats the head wreck, some love a blade others cant stand it, or its meh, over the last 2 decades i have went from Astra Green to G.S.B's to 7 O'clock blacks and to my biggest purchase of 600 blades of Gillette Perma Sharp, if you like both then its what deals are on at the time.

Pics or it doesn't count

Pics would involve collecting stuff together from about 5 different locations in the house. I did some mental arithmetic and I don't think I am that far ahead of you. Maybe by a couple hundred. (Trust me, there are guys here with stashes that dwarf either of ours.) What prompted my comment is that I am currently waiting to checkout on an order with another 300...and debating with myself whether that's really enough! :biggrin1:
