What a shave, I feel I’m really gonna love this .68 Gamechanger. Used as much of my Christmas haul as I could, but I waited on the brush so I can figure out the best way to break it in. I loved the Captain’s Choice Italia scent… it is on my short list for top soaps now. Lathered up really easily and smelled amazing. WTG, XTG, ATG passes today, cleaned up real real smooth. It took me a minute to figure out the angle for my new razor, but it worked well. It’ll take a couple shaves to really get down, but it was a good start. One little weeper on my neck, but other than that no other marks. Aftershave went on, smooth with no irritation. Having a lather bowl made a pretty huge difference to me in terms of creating a lather. I liked it a lot better than my kitchen bowl cause I could hold it better in my hand and control where the lather went in the bowl. I got 2 Barrister and Mann soaps today from my extended family, Seville and Waves. These Astra SP’s were made in India as my current stash is made in Russia, cool to see! Have a great Thursday!

You are just rockin' and rollin' there! The RR GC 0.68P is a great razor and the cool thing is that if you ever need a bit more you can just upgrade the plates. You have a wonderful setup there. Have a great time at home with the family.

If you're talking about the Captain's Choice badger, lather and rinse a couple times* to get any funk and natural oils out of the hair, and you're good to go.

*some badgers come cleaner than others from the badger factory, so use your best judgment there

Will do! I just wanted to be sure I got it right.

Thank you Boris, I hope you had a Merry Christmas with yours as well. I’m very excited to keep trying this razor!

If you are going to try the Feathers, the GC would be perfect for that!
How did I forget that you are mostly using a Tech, that will be perfect for testing a lot of these, I recommend GSB and Wilkinson Sword. Those two have a pretty durable, smooth coating that will provide some insulation from the sharpness. Perma-Sharp are a touch milder and the AccuForge ones a touch spicier.
