Well, all the traps have come up empty for some time now. I think we are finally rid of the buggers! Now, the beagle has taken to playing with and destroying the traps. She's a sweet dog, but I've never seen one that is so....braindead.Honestly, I think the mice were smarter than this dog! Anyway, thanks for all the support and sympathy!
If your dog can easily get at the traps, they may not be in the best places.
Now that you have a believed rodent free home, check the foundation, doors, windows, siding and all again for cracks and drafts. Repair as necessary. (Lather rinse repeat...) Having one person inside with the lights dim and one person outside with a powerful light can show many of these defects very easily.
