Merkur Slant Bar - defect?

You've just caused a bunch of us to go grab their 37C razors, and for good reason. Mine is flawless in the area where yours looks rough. I find these to be amazing shavers; but while they may not be wildly expensive, the maker must/needs to address these issues without such an attitude. This makes Dovo and their lack of support look really bad. Glad to read the vendor will take care of you on this!

All of my vintage merkur (and hoffritz) slants have that look in the corners, although some look more organized and clean. A few of them actually have, what look like lottle guards or thin pieces of metal in the corners of that area. I always thought it was designed like that.

Personal opinion, and because I own about 5 vintage Hoffs and Merks ( one out getting rhodium finished as we speak), they are one of the best razors ever made because of the quality shave, the simplicity of design and for ease of cleaning. Plus, they look REALLY cool! Every single one I own, shaves exactly the same for me, and I use em' all! I just wish the older ones heads were made of a better material.

Wow, just realizing my 37c has the same slop job on it too! errgghhhh, how did I not notice this sooner? wayyy past a reasonable time for sending back. Doesnt really effect the shave, so I guess im not totally screwed. Just another reason I dont buy merkurs.

If it makes you feel any better, my FIRST post ever got deleted. I laugh about it now, but at first I felt like a complete and utter failure. It took me days to recover emotionally.

I just got this exact slant from the Zon yesterday, ill look at it when i get home. My shave was terrible. I think my angle was off though. Im excited to give it another go.
