What's new

Let's see your bar!

Greetings, all!
While we often post about new acquisitions, favorites, or recommendations of new spirits, beers, or wines, I did not see a thread about your bar. What does it look like? Post them up! I think we could all benefit with what others are doing. I'll start. I use an antique sideboard with a rear riser for my whiskies. The leaded glass is one of the few things that survived a fire at a steak house my wife managed decades ago. I put lights on it at Christmas this past year, but left them because I liked the look.
Cheers!

does that count? 🤔

My bar, too, is two shelves of the dry goods (pasta, crackers) cabinet in the kitchen.

funny, tho, our condo was made *smack* in the middle of the Seventies ('75).

There aren't many closets or other details in the floorplan, but it's got a *wet bar* hutch hutch with a folding door in front. It's really well done, has glasses rack all around the top, it's like 32x24", you you just stand at the sink vanity from the den floorspace.

we keep school supplies in there (and it's stuffed). LOL

I noticed your profile says you’re in Culver City, did you grab the JD Rye from K&L by any chance? I’ve seen some listings from them for that (I’m in Studio City and the Hollywood store is my go-to for almost all my purchases nowadays).

No, from the new Total Wine & More that opened about a year ago. On Jefferson just the other side of Sepulveda (the old Anawalt Lumber site).

That place is amazing: I shopped the Redondo branch a few times and knew it was going to be good. There may be a new one closer to you, more than one opened in the past couple of years, iirc.

Also the parking is awesome. It used to be a lumber store - so it's made for trucks and stuff, tho they probably restriped it. Just enter the front and leave out the back - and the front is right turn only which speeds things up if you still go out front.

Less time parking = more time browsing 🤩.
