When I put in my address... well, sign in.... The price is still in Euros... It doesn't seem to affect things. I'm not sure what price I should be paying without the VAT, if that is possible. I think the current price for the Ares @ 215 Euros is more than fair. I still believe they are underpriced, compared to many other high end razors.

The 215 Euro price is correct. There is no VAT included. That only applies to the EU. And I agree Kim, these are severely underpriced.

general question. i cant seem to figure this out. when people use shallow or steep for the Shave Angle. what is exactly meant with that? is closest to a 90 degree angle "steep" or is nearly flat "steep"

my first guess is shallow is closer to flat. (handle angle)

wait we are talking about the angle of what actually?
angle of the handle?
angle of the blade?

For those that ask which is better, here is a data point: the Ares is Open Comb but, the biggest difference to me is the extra "droop" of the top cap and guard compared to most other razors I have. As you can see with the Athena, the top cap and guard are much "flatter" if you will than the Ares.

The Ares is more finicky with the blade selected and the angle of the razor on your face. While a great razor, I can see many people not liking it compared to razors that are easier to "dial in" for that BBS shave in two strokes.

While a real beauty 🥰, a true stunner in person 🥰, I am left with mixed feelings towards the Ares razor. For ~$250USD, I am apt to go somewhere else at this point but, damn that razor is a real looker and much cheaper than the upkeep of a new high-status girlfriend! 🥰🥰🥰

On a happy note, I just paid my invoice for my Lambda Ares V2. It's such an easy process.... though I had to take out the last 4 digits of my zip code on my address... just use the regular 32653 without the 8819. PayPal is an accepted form of payment with Lambda...... I had to back out the last digit on all my autofill address lines..... and type it back in. That happens on a lot of websites, so it isn't unusual... Hit PayPal as the payment method.......... It's that simple, even though we are buying a razor manufactured in Greece.

So, if you are on the waiting list for the Ares V2, you should be seeing an email soon, if you don't already have it in your mailbox.

I am back on the anxiety train for receiving a shipment. It's sort of fun in a masochist sort of way. I still remember the old days when you placed an order from a catalog and had no idea when it would arrive. It's oddly enjoyable, tracking a package, especially one from outside the country in which you currently reside.
