Karve Goatlander Brotherhood (KGB)

Anyone here who has/have tried both the AL and SS version of the Overlander?
Do they shave/feel exactly the same (beyond the weight and metal difference obviously)?

In theory they should as they have the same specs, but people often report that razors in different metals shave differently.

I have had both for quite a while now. Though I really like both for some reason I think the SS shaves just a little bit better. YMMV.
Thanks, maybe it's the weight/mass difference.

But do they feel the same as far as blade feel and aggression, i.e. they are exactly the same razor but just in different metals?

I also have both and would say that the give you the same results and experience, but the weight difference is noticeable, obviously. I find that I have no problem using one and then the other one the next day. I enjoy the difference and appreciate that I get the same awesome experience!

September 21, 2024 Saturday shave

Razor: Karve Overlander, brass
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (2)
Soap: Noble Otter The Noir et Vanille
Brush: Oumo Compass 29mm ST-1
Bowl: Captain's Choice heavyweight copper
Post shave: Barbero alum block, Thayer's Witch Hazel
Aftershave: Lucky Tiger

Today's shave was a three pass affair with no drama or bloodshed.
It was also very close and comfortable. Zero alum feedback.
How does it shave so close without irritation and such?
