Is the shipping cost from a regular supply/vendor that cost prohibitive compared to ebay?

Is the shipping cost from a regular supply/vendor that cost prohibitive compared to ebay?
I really liked the scent of the bay rum and sandalwood. But I got bored with it. Also I wish it had glycerin in it. I may revisit Ogallala come spring. I think I may stock up on a couple of other bay rums then too. Looking at Captain's Choise for one. Anyone trie St. Lucia's?
I haven't been able to find a normal vendor over here that deals with Ogallalla, none of the US based sites will ship to Germany and Amazon.de doesn't stock it. Up until recently e bay had loads of the stuff but for some odd reason there's none now, I'll keep checking I'm sure it'll appear again.
I tried using only the cologne today as an aftershave. I think the scent faded quicker than the aftershave. Next time I'll use the AS first. Placed another order this morning from Ogallala for some shave soap, the metal shave mug and the dry skin balm. I also tossed in another bottle of aftershave as I seem to be using it pretty regularly. The nice thing about ordering direct from Ogallala is that he throws in enough samples of stuff for repeat customers to make up for the shipping. I still have samples from my last order I haven't gotten to.
Captain's Choice is my other favorite. I think his bay rum with "extra burn" should be coming out soon.
Yeah, I've heard that badly written antiquated laws regarding shipping product with x% of alcohol is often an issue with shipping AS/cologne orders overseas, so unless the company wants to deal with the paperwork, or find a distro point to bulk ship to and sell out of over there, it's very cost prohibitive for small/family owned companies like Ogallala and such to pull it off.
Still working my way through the samples, but I think my favorite Ogallala is the Bay Rum with Sandalwood.

Got my shipping notice today. I recently found out what "aftershave" the SWMBO's father uses... Eternity... Looks like he will be getting a nice gift for Christmas!
I've placed a couple orders at Ogallala ....most recently I emailed john at the site and asked for the bay rum lime and peppercorn cologne in double strength. Its not listed as an item for sale but he quickly replied that he could make if for me and told me how to order it...no additional charge! (FYI its AWESOME in performance and smell)
The products are great from him and you have got to love the old school blue bottles they come in...but...the most important reason I keep going back is the service.... its refreshing to deal with someone who handles a business like this! I wasn't previously aware that there could be such a difference in customer service from an online retailer! Try them out...I guarantee you will know what I mean...plus...he puts free stuff in all the orders, can't beat that!

So I got the box in yesterday. The SWMBO was at a yoga class when I got home from work with this sitting by the door. Rushed in, showered, shaved, hit myself with the AS, Nice pleasing burn! Waited about 15 minutes, hit my neck chest and arms with the cologne. 15-20 later she came home, gave me a hug and kiss and said... "Honey, you smell amazing..." then proceeded to rape me... So there you have it.... Ogallala induces rape... Winner in my book.

A fantastic AS with a great, lingering scent. I love the performance and the scent.
