What's new

Just Modern Ramblings in the Shaving World 🤷‍♂️

Just spent a whopping $35 on AliExpress.

420 blades plus other things shaving related.

This One & Done business means a lot more blades are required! 😂

Been sniffing around the Injector Blade threads. Been interested in trying this style of shaving for a while.

The Blackland Vector looks the business, however the price is doable only if I know if I like Injector Shaving first. To that end, found an insanely good deal on a Vintage Schick Type M (Adjustable) on the bay.

Will give a good cleaning when it arrives and then ponder which blades to get.

Now this will fly in the face of the CEO and CFO of the One & Done Club and I stand a good chance of being booted out, but what the hey, I’m not giving up DE razors and blades just yet!

And oh.. sorry.. found this too…

I’m looking at SE/AC blades from a Head Shavers point of view.

Right now I’m sticking with DE blades for my face.

Just watched the overly enthusiastic YouTuber named Stubie Shaves, shave his head with the Open Comb base plate to great success. As I shave my head 48 hours up to 72 hours apart, I plan to start my journey with the Vintage Schick Type M.

The RazoRock Hawk will then makes its entrance to my rotation and we will see if it’s for me or not.

Blades?

Schick Proline P-30’s & Feather Professional’s have been ordered

Fingers crossed it’s everything you want and more. The OC can definitely shave a head lightbulb smooth – even with over a month of hair (my scalp hair is a bit thin, though) – and repay carelessness with embarrassing knicks.

I think my head shape led me to get called “Charlie Brown” afterwards was not a fault of the razor

DEATH WATCH UPDATE

TOD: 05:56 EST

This version of the cream is no longer available. The US Body Shop Maca Root officially died early this morning with a smile.

It has left behind the Body Shop Maca Root & Aloe and a whole host of other creams.

I started my Wet Shaving journey in early 2009 after I read an article in Lifehacker about Wet Shaving and was also annoyed with the price and performance of cartridges. The above is from late 2009 after I had mastered shaving with a DE and it was now officially part of my lifestyle. Body Shop has been part of that journey and the memory will live on!

This finishes my exploration of 'Gillette Blades' for a bit. The Yellow reminded me of the GSB in more ways than one. Happy to say these blades now has a 3 shave rotation in my den. So happy to have my 1930's Gillette NEW Razor back in service after I went Razor exploring too.

🤷‍♂️
