Shave 307/2024
Shave 307 on Boxing Day. Fitting for today's shave. My wonderful LOTH gave me this SV Opuntia set for Christmas - no question, of course I had to use it straight away, even though today is not yet Saturday...
And it turned out to be a great, great shave and a perfect start into PSAW.
The fragrance of Opuntia is not a 100% clone of the Aventus fragrance, but the distant relationship can already be felt. The shaving properties of the SV soaps leave nothing to be desired, and the after shave also provides good care.
But the real star of this shave was the combination of blade and razor!
Basically, my blade of choice in the Blackbird is a Nacet, but I have to admit that this fresh Perma-Sharp felt like the perfect match. The Ti'Bird isn't new to me (no, not at all), but this shave must have been of one of (if not the) best shave I've ever had with this razor. The nimble combo removed my whiskers like nobody's business - efficiency met gentleness... So good!

Shave verdict:
Result: almost BBS
Blade feel: 3/7
Lack of skin irritation: 6.5/7 (one tiny weeper)

I don't mind that much the MKI. And I like the Roedter, because I learned to shave with it. Next challenge: Blade on a stick.

...but this one IS cracked.
Well it has been going great, I killed 9 soaps this year and I lost count of the loose blades and open tucks that bit the dust. The aftershave though hasn't gone according to plan, as I passed the half way mark with my Davidoff Cool Water another one arrived as a birthday present, and then Christmas came
