is kent shaving soap as exact same as MWF?

Jon I'm not familiar with the acronym mwf, I have used Kent, moderately ok lather and slickness.
MWF Closing?
Has anyone else heard about MWF is closing? Saw a post elsewhere and no response on MWF website. A sad day…..

It has been the same during the past several years. There was the older tallow base and then two different veggie bases used during that time. I've recently seen another formula from Kent that's got a completely different list of ingredients.
If the ingredient list starts with Sorbitol, it is the latest version. This soap does not have anything in common with MWF, it seems more like Van der Hagen or similar.

Mitchell Wool Fat and Kent were identical when MWF was tallow based. That is MWF was the vendor that supplied Kent with their usual product. Since MDF is no longer tallow based, I don't know if they still supply Kent, but I suspect they do, but with the new veggie based formula (lanolin enhanced still though).
The old MDF is one of my favorite. Some struggled to make it lather, but it is nearly as easy to lather as Tabak as long as you keep in hydrated. I have not tried the new formula and won't need to for a while.

Hi, I see you just joined B&B today, welcome! FYI MWF = Mitchell's Wool Fat. Over time you will get the hang of our acronyms.
When MWF was tallow based, prior to last year, Kent was the exact same soap, just rebranded. Since MWF changed to a vegan formula some Kent soaps are the same while others use a different formula. Depends on when manufactured. I've not used Kent, just the tallow version of MWF that lathers and works well for me if loaded aggressively with a wet brush.

Hi Jon, A lot of folks reported positive impressions of the MWF new non-tallow formula. There is still some new-formula MWF on retailer shelves. If you want some just order the MWF. Saw that Connaught Shaving had inventory earlier today.
