What's new

I'd love some suggestions on a new DE Razor

What you need is a 23C, of course. Long handle razor, well balanced and not slippery!! A Slant as a 2nd razor?!! Is the Portable still available? Nice choice...if not a mild shaver as the Feather Popular TTO will suit you.

I think the "Feather Portable" is no longer being made, however, I just picked up two from user "pauldog" for less than $10 each this past week. He still has some in stock, so contact him if you would like one. He has a thread about them in the B/S/T forum.

It's a great shaver, that to this newbie's eyes looks, and shaves identical to a Gillette Tech.

Gentlemen,

If I were looking for a new razor now, my choice would be a snap: the 89L by Edwin Jagger. Although I already have one, I might fail to control my neuroses to go out and buy another one . . . and another one after that.

So what's my recommendation for a new DE razor for our B&B friend? I thought you'd never ask.

For new, maybe Parker can redeem itself with the 91R for you. A three piece. For vintage, I'd go with a Super Adjustable. Either one will cost you under $30 and they are the long handled variety as your 22R.
