King, I also noticed that the GIT used up quicker. But since scent is so personal, I get really no similarity to GIT. Not to say the scent on either bar is bad, just that when you know what Tabac and GIT smell like, unless it is close, you kind feel like they missed the bar. Lathering wise, not a bad soap. Not a rich lather like Claus Porto (pretty thick) and not creamy like a tallow soap (Floris Rose Geranium), but I did like it better than some glycerin bars that you can get at Whole Foods, like Clearly Natural.
