How many wash new underwear first before wearing them for the first time?

I wash everything before wearing except outerwear. However, when I was a starving student, I would wear the undies out of the bag.

When I was in high school I worked at a clothing store in receiving. After seeing all the Spiders and other bugs come out of the clothes I wash everything.

I wash them before I wear them for the same reason I wear T shirts under my dress shirts. Mother said so. You wear clean underwear when you leave the house don't you. Never know when your going to get in an accident.
